Reiki is an ancient laying-on of hands healing technique that uses the life force energy to heal, balancing the subtle energies within our bodies. Reiki addresses physical, emotional, mental and spiritual imbalances.

Full Spectrum Healing sees the human body and energy field, or "aura," as made up of twelve distinct levels of conscious awareness. These levels correlate to a tone, frequency, and color. When one of the frequencies is dulled, you may experience physical discomfort or pain; emotional issues; or conflicts in relationship. If held chronically, you may even experience disease. In performing Full Spectrum Healing, Nicky will charge, restructure, clear and energize each of the energy centers that may have become “blocked” or out of balance.
Healings are best suited for those:

  • Coping with an unresolved emotional issue
  • Feeling stress or anxiety
  • Seeking clarity or direction in your life
  • Managing a health issue
  • Seeking energetic balance and healing

Pricing: $75 for an hour-and-a-half

In 1981, I trained to become a Certified Spinologist under Reggie Gold, Founder of the Spinology and Director of the Philadelphia Spinal Tutorium. The basic premise of Spinology is: "There is a Universal intelligence in all matter, constantly giving to it all its properties and activities and, thus, maintaining it in existence." This premise is the heart of the modalities I use in helping people seek balance as they define it for themselves.

In 2006, I trained to apply Dr. John Upledger's Craniosacral Technique I: the body is assisted in restoring and maintaining the flow of the craniosacral fluid, which is formed in the brain, that lubricates the nervous system.

In applying each of the two techniques, tailored to the individual recipient, I am seeking to help the body in minimizing interference to the flow of the various systems in our bodies and allowing the body to operate at its full potential as the foundation to allowing the body to operate at its highest potential.

"Full expression of Human Potential is our birthright." - Reginald Gold

Shamanic herbalism

Herbalism is the art of treating disease and physical imbalance with nature's plants, rather than with chemicals. Modern medicine is often overly harsh with many side effects, as well as being expensive and inadequate for maintenance and prevention.

What's special about shamanic herbalism is that it doesn't stop simply with plant medicines. Shamans work with the spirits of this world and others in order to make positive change in people's lives -- in the case of shamanic herbalism, usually the overarching spirit of the plants used to heal. What this means is that you will be treated with herbs, and then the spirits of those herbs will be sung into you, where they will direct the healing energy of the plant. Specific points on your body will be pressed and used as doors to let the spirits enter. I might shamanically journey inside the ecosystem of your body to find or correct energetic imbalances. Spirit-energy might be drummed into you with a healing drum, or in serious cases negative energy might be pulled out of you.

Raven can also provide shamanic consultations for problems other than health. Please contact him for further information.

Conditions Raven's services are particularly suited for:

  • Conditions which have not responded to conventional medical treatment.
  • Conditions with an unclear or unsatisfactory medical diagnosis.
  • Conditions involving immune function, liver function, hormonal balance, digestion, or neurology.
  • Anyone whose energetic/spiritual practices may be affecting their health.

  • Initial consultation is free, and there is no obligation to get treatment.
  • Fees for treatment sessions are on a sliding scale from $20-$40. You pay what you feel you can afford.
  • The cost of the herbs themselves will vary, but the average course of treatment is $10-$30.

By appointment only, generally evenings and weekends. Sessions and consultations are approximately an hour long, but may be significantly longer or shorter depending on your needs.

Dr. Roger Yates

Dr. Yates is a chiropractor who treats much more than back pain. He is a specialist who has worked with clients to improve the quality of their lives since 1980 and has had the honor of treating numerous doctors themselves.

Dr. Roger Yates treats the whole person by addressing and correcting the three primary causes of disease. They are:

  • Chemical toxicity (most are extremely toxic and acidic, inviting serious diseases to take hold)
  • Trauma (childhood pillow fights, sports, car accidents, etc. affecting nerve/blood flow and structural integrity)
  • Stress (affecting hormone balance)

We address these primary causes of disease through nutrition, full body nutritional detoxification, detox foot baths, chiropractic (non-force - Activator Methods & muscle response/nutrition based approach - Applied Kinesiology) plus physio-therapy. We also offer a satisfaction guarantee.

acupressure shiatsu; thai joint manipulation; moxabustion; cupping; relaxation message; deep tissue massage

My treatment style incorporates Western massage technique with Asian bodywork therapies to benefit the body, mind and spirit. With a wide range of techniques to draw from, I can provide a customized treatment suitable for nearly anyone, in any state of health or imbalance. To find out more about treatment options for your condition, please call to schedule a free assessment.

Acupressure-Shiatsu is a Japanese method of applying pressure to key points on the body in order to relieve pain and promote health. It is similar to acupuncture, but without needles. It is especially good for digestive problems, insomnia, reproductive/menstrual problems, headaches, and pain that is worse with stress.

Thai Joint Manipulation ("Thai Yoga Massage") uses passive stretching, rhythmic movement, and steady pressure to release tension and blockages in the body. Similar benefits to yoga, but you relax while I do the work. It is especially good for increasing flexibility in tight joints and releasing tension.

Moxabustion involves gently warming the skin with burning dried herbs called "moxa." It is especially good for old injuries, infertility, fatigue, arthritis, and any condition that is affected by the weather. It is used extensively in traditional Japanese and Chinese healing.

Cupping applies glass jars to the skin with suction. It is especially good for asthma, lingering respiratory conditions, detoxification, and persistent deep knots in the muscles.

Relaxation Massage ("Swedish" Massage) involves rubbing and kneading the full body using a light oil or lotion, and moderate to light pressure. It is especially good forrelieving stress, increasing circulation, and improving your relationship with your body.

Deep Tissue Massage includes a more goal-oriented set of techniques which focus on specific muscles and connective tissue. It is especially good for chronic muscular tension, pain in the neck, back or shoulders, and pain from overuse or repetitive motions.

Pricing: Massage & Bodywork: $25 for 20 minutes, $45 for 45 minutes. Longer sessions are available.

Dr. Chris Petracco

Dr. Chris was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. He received his chiropractic degree with Cum Laude honors from University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic in 2009. His undergraduate focus was in Sports Medicine at Norwich University in Vermont.  He started his chiropractic career in Maryland and in 2010 moved to Massachusetts to join a group chiropractic office in Central Massachusetts.  Dr. Chris is excited to bring Massachusetts Chiropractic and Performance Center to Central Mass and for the opportunity to help members of the community reach beyond their personal health goals!

Dr. Chris has completed extensive training in movement analysis and soft tissue healing.  He is a certified Functional Movement Technique specialist who incorporates movement therapy to optimize human ability and athletic performance enhancement.  He utilizes this knowledge with instrument assisted soft tissue techniques and kinesiology taping to optimize your potential.   He has much experience working with athletes in helping them recover from injury and returning them to competition better and stronger.

Dr. Chris’ passion from the age of two was always hockey.  Some of his greatest achievements include scoring the winning goal in the 2000 Ontario Junior ‘A’ Hockey Championship and winning the 2003 NCAA National Hockey Championship at Norwich University.  Dr. Chris’ interest in Chiropractic started after a neck injury and concussion during his collegiate hockey days. Chiropractic care helped him recovery quickly from this injury. Until this life changing event, Dr. Chris was determined to play professional hockey in Europe.  He began to research chiropractic and spent the year after undergraduate studies doing volunteer work with a chiropractor in Toronto. Dr. Chris loved that chiropractic allowed the body to heal itself and function more efficiently without the help of medicine.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Chris feels blessed everyday to be able to help others function better and increase their potential. Dr. Chris enjoys caring for the whole family and looks forward to being your trusted health care professional for years to come!

Dr. Chris and his wife Brittan live in Grafton, Massachusetts. They have two beautiful children, Giuliana and Luca.
